Always striving for the highest artistic integrity and honesty as a performer, Martin Jaspard (born 2005) is a versatile and well-rounded musician: a pianist, with a strong interest in composition and orchestral conducting. Recently awarded First Prize at the prestigious Johannes Brahms International Piano Competition in Detmold, he is also a laureate of the National Mayenne Competition (First Prize), the Nice Côte d’Azur International Competition (First Prize, Junior Category), and a finalist at the Santa Cecilia Competition in Porto (Junior Category).

Deeply connected to and committed to contemporary music and creation, he received a special prize at the 2022 Collioure Competition and particularly enjoys performing works by major figures from his musical circle, such as Thierry Escaich. As a soloist and highly sought-after chamber musician, Martin performs extensively in France (International Festival of Colmar, Piano Festival Lille, Pianissimes, Piano-Piano Festival Rungis, Piano en Valois, Salle Cortot, Grand Théâtre d’Angers), as well as in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, and the Netherlands (Concertgebouw).

In 2024 and 2025, he was consecutively selected to take part in the La Roque d’Anthéron Festival residency, first in a piano duo with Paul Lecocq and then in a duo with cellist Thomas Prechal. His debut recording, devoted to solo piano works by Mozart and Brahms, has just been released, announcing a second solo album focused on variation form, to be released by MDG Klassik in January 2027.
Born in 2005, Martin began his musical training at the Conservatoire of Gennevilliers, followed by the Angers Regional Conservatory (CRR) in the class of Élisabeth Chaverdian. At just sixteen years old, he was admitted in 2021 to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), studying piano with Hortense Cartier-Bresson and Fernando Rossano. The following year, he entered the accompaniment class of Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, and in May 2023 he was admitted to the advanced composition and writing program.

He graduated with highest honors with a Bachelor’s degree in piano, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in chamber music. In addition, he studies orchestral conducting at the CNSMDP, which has led him to conduct the conservatory’s laureates’ orchestra on four occasions. He is a participant in the Jaroussky Academy 2025–2026, allowing him to work regularly with Cédric Tiberghien. Martin is also a laureate of the Safran Foundation.
